Dee’s career began as a young teen back at the start of the social media age. She would edit photos, flyers, and social media profiles for classmates. “Some of the best artistic works illustrate a world born of the artists’ own creation.”~Dee Gonzalez
It is no wonder that Dee’s love and deep interest of the arts began at an early age. She was fortunate enough to have been raised in a family full of creatives, including artists, musicians, designers, and an art professor. Dee is looking to expand her artistic family by networking and collaborating with artists of all mediums.
As a multi-disciplinary artist, Dee’s work is mainly in genres like abstract and pop-surrealism. She draws her strongest inspiration from artists like Salvador Dahli, Frida Kahlo, Tim Burton, and Jean-Michel Basquiat.
The main goal of Dee’s artistic work is to continue to illustrate the voices and feelings of the often unheard through visuals that are an escape from the everyday.
“You can create a new world of your own through art if the one you are living in is not to your liking.”– Dee Gonzalez
